Delphi Recommendations for Diagnosis and Treatment of Sexual Interest in Children in Non-Mandated Community Settings

The 2PS project is organising a free webinar hosted by Drs. Skye Stephens and Sara Jahnke.

The event will be held online on November 15th at 15:00 CET.

Information about the event

Leading researchers Drs. Skye Stephens and Sara Jahnke are hosting a free online webinar to discuss their recent study on the assessment and treatment of individuals with sexual interest in children in non-mandated settings.

Link to the publication here.

They will share key recommendations for assessment and treatment based on a consensus from international experts in the field.

The recommendations were generated from a diverse group of experts as part of a Delphi survey for clients with sexual interest in children who self-refer to treatment. The recommendations are for clients seeking treatment in non-mandated settings and are not intended for application to clients in forensic settings who are mandated to treatment.

It is also important to highlight that these are the recommendations that our experts generated/agreed on and do not necessarily represent the personal views of the research team or funders.

More about the research

2PS member Dr. Sara Jahnke, together with Dr. Skye Stephens and PhD student Myles Davidson conducted a study to gather insights from an international panel of experts. The goal was to derive guidelines for best practice treatment of people with a sexual interest in children via a Delphi survey. This iterative method fosters consensus-building by a structured series of questionnaires combined with controlled feedback.
